A Thursday Thought.

A young man can do nothing more important. School can wait. Scholarships can be deferred. Occupational goals can be postponed. Yes, even temple marriage should wait until after a young man has served an honorable full-time mission for the Lord.
Now, why do I mention this to you young women this evening? Because you can have a positive influence in motivating young men to serve full-time missions. Let the young men of your acquaintance know that you expect them to assume their missionary responsibilities, that you personally want them to serve in the mission field, because you know that’s where the Lord wants them.

Short Ramblings On A Sunday.

I often find myself...

Talking to myself,

Ha:)

Before Sam left,

We talked 24/7!!

You name it,

Texting, Skyping, Talking on the Phone,

That was us!:)

And then he left a few short months ago,

And the hand cramps began!!:D
Haha,

Each time I write Sam,

I feel like I have so much to tell him that his letters are easily pages long!

Man I love writing letters to that Elder Cannon:)

Well today as I woke up and looked at the calendar,
I could hardly believe that today was the 11th!:)

This is kind of, sort of a special day:)

A year ago today,

I recieved a small package from Sam with a little purple journal inside:)

Each day he has been gone,

I have written a small memory of us:)

Well this weekend I forgot my little purple journal at school,

So I haven't been able to write down my memories.

Instead,

I have just been "talking to myself",

And remembering those sweet memories:)

It's crazy to wake up each day,

And see November on my calendar:)

A month I never thought I'd see again once Sam left,

Mostly because I am dramatic and I thought I was going to die a day into this adventure!:D

I guess I'm just rambling,

It feels good to do that once in awhile:)

I guess you can say I miss Sam,

And our Skype Sundays,

And our rambling conversations:)

But am so very proud of him:)

And wouldn't want him anywhere else then Phila:)

That pretty much sums up the past 365 days-ish of my life:)

Today marks ONE YEAR,

Since Elder Cannon entered the MTC,

And it seems just like yesterday that he left!!

This experience has been nothing but an adventure!:)

And so in honor of today,

I made a little trip to our favorite place:)

Mine and Sam's favorite movie has always been the movie,

UP:)

The whole movie is about Carl and Ellie's adventures in life:)

If you haven't seen the movie,

The only thing you really need to know is that it contains,

Balloons, Love, Smiles, and one BIG Adventure:)

So,

In honor of today and Up:)

I bought 12 balloons:)
On each balloon I wrote a number 1 through 12,

With a short little message on each one:)
I took them to our favorite place,

Made a wish,

Blew a kiss,

And sent them off:)

Here is to the BEST adventure I have ever had in life:)

One year down,

And one year to go:)

I'm so proud of you Elder Cannon:)

Hey There November.

I'm glad to see you here,

I've been waiting to see you for just about a year:)

It's official folks:)
I haven't seen my Missionary in a whole entire year!

And it feels just like yesterday that I said,

"See you soon Elder"

To my best friend:)

Today as I woke up and went outside,

I felt that familiar November chilly-ness,
And thought to myself,

It's finally here:)

My countdown is all the way to the top,

And ready to come back down:)
