Remember how I said I was going to blog about me and Sam's meeting...

Funny story Ladies and Gents,

Like the day after I posted that,

I got all of my pictures from the wedding!

So,

We will save that story for a rainy day;)

Today I'll share my Bridals.

I chose a few of my favs,

But if I could,

I would post them all,

Because they all turned out super great!:)

But we are still waiting on some more wedding pics,

That One Time We Got Engaged

Growing up,

I've always thought about how the future Mr. would get down on one knee and pop the question;)

And I'm just here to tell ya,

Sam did a pretty fantastic job of keeping it a secret and making it a wonderful surprise!:)

So a little background story for you Ladies and Gents!:)

Sam and I had previously gone ring shopping,

And we found a couple of fancy things around town!

{if ya know what i'm sayin';)}

Later in the week I had asked Sam,

"Have you been back at all to get a ring by chance?!?:):):)"

{batting my eyes like any girl would do}

Well folks,

That was the last time I asked that question,

Because Sam was a little upset.

{little did i know it was just a little acting he was brushing up on, haha}

He said that things were crazy,

And that he hadn't been able to go back to the ring store.

So I thought to myself,

When it happens,

It will happen:)

Oh my gosh...

I hope it happens!!!!!

Alright,

So let's fast forward!

On November 16th, 2013,

{the day before my birthday!!!}

Sam asked me to attend a baptism with him,

And then just hang out with him the rest of the day at his house!

Of course my answer was YES!:)

So Sam and I attended the baptism,

It was awesome,

And we sure are proud of Ernie!!:)

After the baptism,

We got back in Sam's car,

And he said that he had a couple of surprises for me that needed to be given before my birthday the next day!

He said that the surprises would spell out my name,

And they would come throughout the afternoon and evening:)

So...

He gave me my first surprise!:)

It was a little envelope with the letter "C" on it!

Inside it said,

"Cheese Roll-Up"

Now folks,

If you don't know Sam and I,

We LOVE Taco Bell!:)

Seriously,

I think it's a sickness how much we love that place!

So,

The first surprise was taking me to Taco Bell for one of my favorite items on the menu,

A cheese roll-up!:)

After Taco Bell,

Sam gave me another surprise!:)

It was a little present and an envelope that had an "H" on it.

The "H" stood for hands,

And I was given a pair of cute purple gloves!:)

We got back to his house,

And he decided to play some wii!

A few minutes into the game,

Sam dashed off,

And came back with another surprise!:)

It was a box with a little "E" attached to it!:)

Ok folks,

Pause.

This wasn't any kind of box,

It looked like a ring box,

So I was slightly freaking out!!!

I opened it,

And there were a pair of earrings:)

They were my birthstone,

And they were so so cute!:)

I can't believe I thought it was a ring...

Come on ring doesn't start with and "E" Chelsie!!

Earrings start with "E" duh!!

BYU was supposed to be playing that night,

So before the game,

Sam said he had another surprise for me!:)

So we got in his car,

He blindfolded me,

And I tried to use all the skills I possessed to follow where he was taking me, haha!!

We drove and drove,

And I quickly lost track of where we were, haha!

But Sam parked,

And we started walking,

On what seemed like a super rocky desert,

I was absolutely clueless where we were!

Then Sam stopped me,

Unblindfolded me,

And said,

"Do you know where we are?:)"

Sam had driven me to where we had our first kiss!:)

And then he gave me another surprise,

Which was a present that had a little "L" attached:)

The "L" stood for lips!:)

And Sam gave me some lipgloss and lotion!:)

When we got back to his house,

We started watching the BYU game!

About halfway into the game,

Sam dashed off and returned with another surprise!:)

It was another present with the letter "S" attached!!

I opened it,

And it was a pair of purple fuzzy socks!:)

My favorite!!!

{seriously, i'm in love with purple fuzzy socks}

Then after the BYU game,

I was pretty much burnt out,

A.k.a I was tired and thinking about calling it a night!

I really didn't think Sam was going to propose,

Because it was just three or so days ago that I had asked him if he had gone back for a ring,

And remember how I said he was kind of upset??

So I wasn't going to ask him again, haha,

Plus Sam usually calls me Chels anyways,

So I was thinking the presents were possibly done!

So I mentioned to Sam that I was kind of tired,

And he said,

"I know what will fix that!"

"Ice Cream!!!:)"

So we went upstairs and had some ice cream!:)

Which was another surprise,

And stood for the "I" in my name!

The presents weren't over yet folks!;)

While we were eating ice cream,

I asked Sam if he was spelling out my full name,

Chelsie Hawker.

And you know what he told me??

He told me yes!!

So instantly I had it all figured out!

{or so i thought!}

My last name ended with "R"

Which clearly stood for RING,

So I just had to wait patiently to get to the end of my name;)

It was close to midnight,

{and when i say close, it was 11:30 haha}

So Sam told me he would take me home!

We got in his car,

And he said,

"Let's take the long way home!:)"

Folks,

Sam and I only live about ten minutes from each other,

So I wondered how we would take a thirty minute ride home??

I was excited for the adventure anywho!:)

We pulled up to my house,

And I thought to myself,

Hmmmmm,

"Sam hasn't finished spelling my name!"

"He hasn't even finished my first name!"

"He must be finishing tomorrow, on my birthday, YAY!:)"

So Sam and I got up to my doorstep,

And he told me to stay put and close my eyes!

Once again Sam went off running,

And he quickly returned!

He told me to open my eyes,

And I was so surprised to see him holding a bundle of roses and a little purple bag!:)

He gave me the roses,

And then reached into the little purple bag and pulled out the last letter of my name,

Which was "E":)

Sam said that this was the last surprise,

And that the "E" stood for ETERNITY!:)

Then he got down on one knee,

Said some mushy gushy stuff

And he popped the question!:)

Without hesitation,

I said,

"YES!!:)"

He waited until exactly midnight,

So it would be my birthday when he proposed!:)

I was completely surprised!!!

I really thought I had it all figured out,

But like always,

Sam is always full of surprises!;)

We walked inside my house,

And of course my parents were waiting up for me!;)

We skyped all our siblings,

And had a mini celebration at my home!:)

It was absolutely the greatest night of my life!!

I still couldn't believe Sam Cannon had just proposed to me!:)

Adventures With Mr. Sam

I'm sure I've told all of you this before,

But Sam and I like to think of our lives as an adventure:)

This life is defiantly a journey,

Presented with the highest highs and the lowest lows,

But why not make an adventure out of it???

As I've looked at my life as more of an adventure,

I've learned to enjoy the excitement and life more fully:)

Some of the best adventures I've had with Sam,

Deal with all the post mission madness!:)

NOTHING,

And I repeat,

NOTHING,

Is better then having your best friend and lover by your side again:)

One night before Sam left on his mission,

He had a friend come over that had just returned from the PPM!

{a.k.a the mish Sam was called to and about to head to!}

He brought over his fiance and we all just chatted the night away!:)

It was fun to hear all his experiences,

And to know that in just a few short weeks,

Sam would be experiencing some of the same things!:)

After the two left,

I was chatting with Sam's Mom

{which is now my Mom, woooooooo!:)}

And I was telling her how excited I was that those two were getting married!

And Momma Cannon told me,

"Well Chels, you know that if you wait for Sam that could be you someday."

And at that very moment I realized two things,

#1. I really wanted to marry a returned missionary and wouldn't settle for anything less.

And

#2. Sam was the returned missionary that I wanted to marry.

When things got tough and I missed Sam a lot,

I remembered that story and the feelings I felt that night.

When Sam got home,

I wasn't for sure how things were going to turn out.

Come on people,

It had been just 3 days shy of two years!

I knew exactly how I wanted things to turn out,

Buuuuut,

Like I said in the previous post,

I didn't know if Sam was going to be cool that I became a Justin Bieber fan while he was gone;)

The first week was crazy,

A lot of funny things were said,

Like,

One night Sam said that we should do something ASAP,

And I told him FOR SURE!:)

And he responded by saying,

"Well then we will set up an appointment and get together then!"

Sam was totally in missionary mode,

And totally taking appointments, haha!;)

But I LOVED every second!:)

I guess what I'm trying to say in this post,

Is that I LOVE having Sam home!:)

Sometimes I have to quickly grab his hand,

Or hug him,

Or even shoot him a txt,

Just to know that he is back home:)

Another thing I should probably add,

Is I'm completely obsessed with everything Sam does!

The way he brushes his teeth,

The way he smells,

His laugh,

His smile,

Come you name it,

I'm obsessed Ladies and Gents!:)

When I think about the two years being apart,

Sometimes it feels like it never happened,

It was just so natural having Sam come home:)

But I also learned a few things while he was gone.

Like to never take a single day for granted,

You never know how much you miss someone,

Until they serve a two year mission;)

I still can't believe I married Sam:)

Every 11:11 wish,

Shooting star,

Prayer,

Hope,

And dream came true!:)

I am beyond blessed,

And will never know how I got so lucky.

Our adventures post mish have been unbelievably fun!:)

Welcome Home Elder Sammie C.

Oh my goodness,

I am beyond excited to finally write this post!:)

I would say the day Sam coming home was the best day of my life,

Buuuuttttt...

I think the day we got married trumps his home coming by just a little;)

Mr. Sam left on November 2nd, 2011

And returned on October 29th, 2013!:)

I said my see ya laters on the 1st of November,

So all in all I waited 727 days to see my best friend!!:)

Two weeks prior to Sam coming home,

I was FRRRREEEEAAAAKKKKING out!!!!!

I couldn't sleep,

Eat,

Drink,

Or even think about anything but Sam!

I was stuck between unbelievably happy to unbelievably nervous!

{it was a good place to be}

So many things were running through my head!

Like,

"Will Sam still like Taco Bell when he gets home?!"

"Is Sam going to be ok that I became a Justin Bieber fan while he was gone?!"

"Should I give him a hug around his neck or around his waist?!"

"What outfit should I wear to the airport?!"

"Excuse me while I go and throw up!!"

For two weeks this was what was going through my head!

{i think my family secretly wanted to kill me, haha!}

Then October 29th finally came:)

It was a Tuesday,

And it was perfect:)

I woke up at the crack of dawn,

To start working on some missionary cupcakes,

And to get a head start on getting myself ready for the airport!

{come on, it had been two years, everything had to be perfect, ya know what i'm sayin'?!}

Then my Mom, sister, sister-in-law, niece and I loaded up in the van and we took off to the airport!:)

I would have been screaming the whole way,

But little Ellie was sleeping, haha;)

While we were driving to the airport,

We passed Sam's family on the freeway,

I had never felt so much excitement between two cars!!

We all had our signs and cameras going,

It was so fun!!:)

Then we pulled up to the airport,

And we waited for the plane to land for what seemed like FOREVER!!!

But the plane came,

And people started flooding off.

Each time a person would come down the escalator and out the door,

They would say something like,

"He is on the plane!!"

"I sat right next to him!!"

"He converted me!!"

But then all the people were off the plane and down the escalator,

And there was still no Sam.

Little side note folks,

The IF airport is tiny,

There is no excuse for things to take longer then 10 minutes, haha!!

But then:)

Out of nowhere:)

Came Sam:)

He started down the escalator,

In his grey suit and vans,

And then he came through the door:)

I'll leave the video and pictures to tell the rest of the story:)

Apart of my heart finally came home that day:)

It's a day I'll never forget and I'll cherish forever:)

There is just nothing like seeing your best friend after two years,

It's absolutely priceless and most defiantly worth the wait:)

Married To Sammie Eleven

Oh hello:)

Remember me?

The girl that was waiting for her Mish,

And he only had 11 days left...

Well,

All the rumors are true!!

My Sam is officially home,

And SO many exciting things have happened since!:)

As you can see by the post header,

I married my sweet Sam,

And everyday since has been a dream come true and a happily ever after!:)

I am so grateful for Sam and I'm beyond blessed because of him:)

I can't wait to share forever with my best friend:)

Since I may have gotten a little behind on blogging

{haha, come on, it's a little funny right?},

I am going to go back and blog about all that has happened!
